All rates always include buffet breakfast à la Sara La Fountain, gym use, sauna use, parking, electric car charging (limited number of spaces) as well as Wifi.
Our hotel has a complimentary parking area for normal sized cars in the backyard. When arriving with a car you can drive directly to the parking area and move then to check-in. Address for the parking area is Aallonkatu 1 .
If the parking area is full, you can also use the paid street side parking around the hotel or our sister hotels parking area, located 200 meters away. This parking area is also free and parking permits are available at the Reception.
For electric or plug-in hybrid cars we have one Tesla Destination Charger and one EV Type 2 (max. 22kW) . Use of these is complimentary to hotel guests.
Our buffet breakfast à la Sara La Fountain includes a good variety of vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options. Breakfast items are marked with V=Vegan, VL=Low-lactose, L=Lactose-fee, G=Gluten-free and M=Dairy-free markings. If you have other allergies or dietary requirements, our breakfast staff is always more than happy to assist you on the spot.
Yes, our guests may book a complimentary private sauna time from our sauna facilities. Private times start from 30minutes per guest and the sauna can fit maximum 5 persons at a time. Kindly take the towel from the room with you to the sauna.
If you wish to have a hotel room with a sauna you can reserve one by booking a Polar room with a sauna.
Yes, our hotel has a small gym which is open 24/7 with your keycard. Gym is equipped with a treadmill, spinning wheel, multipurpose weighted equipment, hand weights as well as gym mats.
Our hotel is located 8 kilometers from the Rovaniemi airport. We recommend the following options for the transfer:
Airport Bus - around 7€/person
Airport -> Arctic Light Hotel
Bus waits outside the arrivals hall automatically after each arriving regular flight. Bus stops at all the hotels in the city center, including our hotel. Closest stop to us is across the street from the Reception.
Arctic Light Hotel -> Airport
For the return journey the bus leaves from the railway station 1 hour and 20 minutes before all the regular flights. Bus makes a stop across our hotel before continuing to the airport without an advance booking. However we always recommend to check the departure schedule with our front desk as there might be exceptions.
Airport Bus doesn't need to be booked in advance and you can pay to the driver with a credit card or cash.

Taxi - about 30€/direction
There are taxis waiting at the airport. A ride to our hotel costs usually around 25-30 euros depending on the day and time. The payment will be made directly to the driver with credit card or cash. No advance reservation is required.
VIP Private transfer
We are happy to also arrange a private transfer for you. Driver will be then waiting for you at the arrivals hall with your name sign. This transfer needs to be booked in advance and is paid to Arctic Light Hotel, our front desk is happy to assist you with this.
We welcome pets at our hotel. We have 5 pet friendly rooms belonging to Magic Double, Arctic and Polar Street room categories. Kindly inform us if you are arriving with a pet when making a reservation.
Our pet friendly rooms are located at the streetlevel with easy access to the street.
Pet fee is 15€ per night and is automatically added to your room bill.
Pets are also welcome in the hotel lobby and heated winter garden. We do not allow pets at the main restaurant area or the buffet.
Check-in starts at 3pm. However, if you arrive earlier you may check-in earlier too if the room is available. We cannot guarantee this in advance though.
If you wish to check-in earlier, kindly inform us and we will do our best to arrange the room for you. You may inquire if the room is ready by calling our Reception or by asking our Receptionists to inform you when the room is available.
If you need to check-in before 3pm you should book your room from the previous day to guarantee it.
Check-out time is by 12pm. If your room is not booked for other guests there is a possibility to have a late check-out which you may inquire at the hotel.
We have s secure and complimentary luggage storage at the Reception.
Our hotel lobby, restaurant and accessible toilet are accessible, excluding small doorsteps. Our hotel rooms are not accessible as they have doorsteps, elevated beds and bathrooms without support equipment. Magic Twin, Arctic and Aurora Loft rooms can be accessed with a lift, other room categories can require few steps.
In the majority of all our rooms we have the picture of a polar bear in the bathroom, both with blue and grey backgrounds. However, some of the rooms do not feature the polar bear picture, thus we recommend to mention it as a wish in your reservation. We do our utmost to make wishes come true, although we cannot guarantee them.
We have a limited number of rooms with a bathtub available. We have a bathtub in all our Suites, in our Mini Loft room, and in the majority of our Auroral Loft rooms, thus we recommend to book one of these rooms. Only few of our Magic and Arctic rooms have a bathtub. Kindly add your wish of a room with a bathtub to your reservation and we will do our utmost to make it true, although we cannot guarantee it.
Yes, kindly book a Polar room if you prefer your own private sauna in the room.
(Note that Polar+ and Polar Street rooms do not have saunas).
